Iranian state TV says Mojtaba Khamenei named leader

The son of the former supreme leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has reportedly been named as his successor, according to Iranian state television. According to Chief National Security reporter for Reuters, Phil Stewart, “A senior Iranian cleric involved in the vote to choose a new supreme leader indicated Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's son Mojtaba would be his successor, although a formal announcement was awaited, after Israel threatened whoever was chosen.”
