What to know about the Homeland Security shutdown

Another shutdown for parts of the federal government has begun as a fight over proposed restrictions on President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement agenda drags on. Funding for the Department of Homeland Security expired on Saturday. Democrats say they will not help approve more money until the new limits are placed on federal immigration operations after the fatal shooting of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis last month.
