Artemis II crew completes journey around the moon

The Artemis II astronauts successfully splashed down off the coast of San Diego at 8:07 p.m. ET as planned, concluding a monumental and risky 10-day journey around the moon and back that took them farther from Earth than anyone in human history. All four of the Artemis II astronauts were successfully extracted from the Orion spacecraft following splashdown and are now at medical bay where they will undergo post-mission medical evaluations.
