Lawmakers seek probe of Polymarket bets

We are now hearing, according to the Associated Press, that some lawmakers are now calling for an investigation into the prediction market platform Polymarket. This comes after alleged instances of anonymous people making good bets on major geopolitical events hours before they occurred. LiveNOW’s Austin Westfall is speaking with the AP’s Ken Sweet. According to reporting from the AP, an anonymous Polymarket user recently made a $400,000 profit by betting that Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro would be out of office, hours before Maduro was captured.
