2 killed after vehicle drives through soccer game in KS

A vehicle drove through an active youth soccer match at a Kansas sports complex Saturday afternoon, killing a child and an adult and injuring several others, authorities said. Witnesses reported that a black pickup truck plowed through the fields at the Stryker Sports Complex before coming to a stop, prompting an immediate response from dozens of emergency personnel who administered CPR and rendered aid at the scene. Wichita Police Captain Aaron Moses confirmed the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, and investigators noted two minors were also passengers inside the truck. While a motive has not yet been disclosed, police stated there is no ongoing public threat, and Wichita Mayor Lily Wu called the incident a "heartbreaking" tragedy.
