Meta agrees to pay $18B in landmark settlement

Meta’s landmark settlement over allegations of harm to children could have major implications for other social media and tech companies facing similar lawsuits. The deal could put additional pressure on companies like TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat to change how their platforms operate and strengthen protections for young users.
