Trump, Irish Taoiseach at Shamrock Bowl presentation

We are watching as President Donald Trump and Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin are taking part in the annual Shamrock Bowl presentation. This event at the White House is considered by many to be a St. Patrick’s Day tradition. First starting in 1952 during the Truman administration, the event is meant to represent the extended diplomatic ties between the United States and Ireland. Part of the ceremony includes Martin presenting Trump with a bowl full of shamrocks.
