Airlines push congress to modernize air traffic control

The U.S. aviation industry is urging Congress to approve an additional $20 billion in funding to modernize the nation’s air traffic control system. The investment would help replace aging infrastructure, introduce new technology and improve the way air traffic is managed. The FAA is planning major upgrades through 2028, including new network connections, communications systems, radios and radar equipment.
