New spy powers plan from Johnson faces opposition

We are learning the latest after House Republicans, including Speaker Mike Johnson, offered a new plan last week centered around rules for spying on foreigners. The GOP’s proposal looks to extend a significant portion of the government's surveillance authority from a two-year to a three-year sunset period. The expiration date for Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) is set for April 30. LiveNOW’s Shawna Khalafi is speaking with Glenn S.
