Brian Laundrie new update: Police thought mother was him, blame family for mistaken ID

While Gabby Petito was missing, police were watching her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, but a simple case of mistaken identity lead to confusion as to his whereabouts. North Port police said they mistook Laundrie's mother, Roberta Laundrie, for her son the week he went missing, when she returned with his vehicle a few days after he was last seen. Police argue the confusion likely didn't change much and that there's "a very good possibility" Laundrie was already dead when the case of mistaken identity took place.
