Trump, Netanyahu speak after Mar-a-Lago meeting
President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to the media after meeting at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida on Monday afternoon. The two leaders discussed moving towards the second phase of the peace deal in Gaza and bringing lasting peace to the Middle East. Netyanyahu called the meeting with Trump “very, very productive.” Trump said it will be “horrible” for Hamas if they don’t disarm. Trump also took questions on other issues, including when to expect an announcement on his choice for a replacement for Federal Reserve Chair. Trump has historically been at odds with the current Fed Chair Jerome Powell. Trump met with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday at Mar-a-Lago, whether the two leaders discussed a possible peace plan between Russia and Ukraine. The White House said Trump spoke on the phone with Putin after the Zelenskyy meeting.
