Russia strikes Ukranian energy infrastructure
More than 600,000 people in the Kyiv region of Ukraine were without power on Saturday morning after an overnight Russian attack, according to the BBC. Ukraine's energy ministry attributed the power losses to missile and drone strikes on energy infrastructure around the city and several other regions. Local authorities told the BBC that 36 missiles and nearly 600 drones were launched on targets across Ukraine overnight. Three were killed and dozens were injured. Ukrainian President released a statement on social media condemning the strikes. These attacks come as the Trump administration continues to lead the efforts to reach a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.
