House Dems speak before Rules Committee meeting

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries spoke today as some lawmakers agreed upon a stopgap bill that will reopen the government. But the record-long government shutdown is not quite over. Today, several Democratic members of the House Rules Committee delivered remarks, including Jim McGovern of Massachusetts, Mary Gay Scanlon of Pennsylvania, Joe Neguse of Colorado, and Teresa Leger Fernandez of New Mexico.
