Man charged with threatening US Attorney Alina Habba

Federal prosecutors in Tampa have unsealed an indictment charging Salvatore Russotto, of Orlando, with threatening to kill New Jersey US Attorney Alina Habba. According to the US Attorney?s Office for the Middle District of Florida, Russotto used a personal online account on May 19, 2025, to post violent threats, including, "A slow painful death for HABBA," and "Eliminate HABBA. 86 Traitor. Death penalty for all traitors."
