Multiple fatalities as severe weather hits Kentucky
Severe storms in the Midwest and South have resulted in at least 27 fatalities. Kentucky was hit particularly hard, with 18 deaths and another 10 individuals hospitalized in critical condition, according to Governor Andy Beshear, who warned that the death toll may increase. Beshear asked for support for the affected region. Rescue operations continued through the weekend.
