Trump comments on phone call with Putin

On Monday, President Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the ongoing negotiations to broker a ceasefire deal between Russia and Ukraine. After the phone call, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt released a statement from the president that said in part, "Russia and Ukraine will immediately start negotiations toward a Ceasefire and, more importantly, an END to the War." The president was also scheduled to have a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy later on Monday.
