Judge issues stay in alleged MS-13 leader case dismissal
A federal judge has issued a stay until Friday to review whether charges against Henrry Villatoro Santos, an alleged MS-13 gang leader arrested in Northern Virginia, should be dismissed. FOX 5 DC reports that the federal judge said he believes the government has a right to terminate this case, but ordered a stay until 9 a.m. on Friday. Villatoro Santos is not to go into Homeland Security’s custody before then. Last week, the Justice Department moved to drop the case, a decision likely aimed at speeding up Santos’ deportation. His attorney warns that if the charges are dismissed, Santos could be deported without due process.
