Greenland PM says U.S. will not 'get' territory
Greenland Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen is pushing back on President Donald Trump's assertions that the the U.S. will take control of the island territory. In a Facebook post Sunday, Nielsen said ?President Trump says that the United States ?will get Greenland.? Let me be clear: The United States will not get it. We do not belong to anyone else. We decide our own future.? Greenland is large, self-governing territory of Denmark, a NATO ally of the United States. Trump has vowed to annex the territory, claiming it?s needed for national security purposes.
