South Korea fire kills at least 16, officials say

An explosion that took place at a lithium battery factory in South Korea left at least 16 people dead, seven injured and six missing, officials say. The fire ripped through a factory run by Aricell in Hwaseong. This factory is a major industrial cluster just 90 minutes southwest of Seoul. 18 Chinese workers and one Laotian were among the dead. President Yoon Suk Yeol earlier ordered officials to mobilize all available personnel and equipment to find survivors, according to his office.
