Russia makes pact with North Korea amid war with Ukraine

The pact signed between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un promises mutual military assistance between Moscow and Pyongyang if either were to be attacked. Putin also announced for the first time that Russia would provide weapons to North Korea, a move that could destabilize the Korean Peninsula and impact the world far beyond.
