Speaker Johnson, GOP lawmakers on Israel aid

House Speaker Mike Johnson, joined by other high-ranking GOP lawmakers, held a news conference on Thursday to ask for Sen. Schumer to bring a bill mandating aid to Israel to the Senate floor for a vote. The White House has said President Biden would veto the bill if it arrived on his desk.
