Trump to campaign during hush money trial

The former president made a surprise campaign stop in NYC, before testimony continued in the ongoing hush money trial in Manhattan. During his 2016 campaign, the former publisher of the National Enquirer, David Pecker, was paying out tens of thousands of dollars to keep potentially damaging stories from the public eye. Pecker says he put his foot down when the initial news of Trump's alleged affair with adult film performer, Stormy Daniels, came to light.
