Who will replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein?

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, California’s long-serving Democratic senator, has died. Feinstein, 90, was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1992, during a special election and was the longest-serving California senator before her passing. Gov. Gavin Newsom needs to appoint someone to replace the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein until her term ends in 2025.
