House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen declared the relationship between the United States and Taiwan is strong amid "unprecedented" challenges in the Indo-Pacific region.
McCarthy, R-Calif., and Tsai met at the Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California on Wednesday, along with a group of bipartisan lawmakers.
National security expert Hal Kempfer spoke with LiveNOW's Andrew Craft about the meeting.
