FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried extradited to U.S. from Bahamas | LiveNOW from FOX
Sam Bankman-Fried is now on U.S. soil. The plane carrying him touched down at Westchester airport in New York on December 21, 2022. Bankman-Fried's arrival in the U.S. comes just hours after the The Securities and Exchange Commission, or SEC, announced it charged two former associates of Bankman-Fried, who allegedly participated in a multiyear scheme to defraud investors of FTX. Former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison and Former Chief Technology Officer of FTX Trading LTD Zixiao (Gary) Wang were charged by the SEC. Ellison and Wang plead guilty and agreed to cooperate with federal officials.
