Police officer murdered while chasing suspect: New developments

A suspect has been arrested for the shooting death of an Arizona sheriff's deputy who was killed in Cordes Lake on Tuesday. Sgt. Richard Lopez was killed while trying to apprehend a theft suspect, Robert McDowell, when he was shot and killed. McDowell is now being held in the Yavapai County Jail on first-degree murder charges.
