Kim Potter 'betrayed her badge' when she killed Daunte Wright for no reason: Prosecutor

Opening statements are underway in the manslaughter trial of Kim Potter, a former Brooklyn Center police officer, for the shooting death of Daunte Wright in April. Prosecutor Erin Eldridge told the jury that Potter, who had been a police officer longer than Wright had been alive, betrayed her oath and badge when she shot and killed Wright. Potter is charged with first and second-degree manslaughter and is expected to testify in her own defense during the trial.
