Hurricane Idalia: Car sent airborne during tornado in South Carolina
A car is sent airborne as a confirmed tornado touched down in Goose Creek, South Carolina. Video recorded by Mason Stewart shows a vehicle being flipped into the air by a strong gust of wind, before crashing down onto another. Goose Creek Police said two people suffered minor injuries. This all happened while Idalia moved through Florida, into Georgia and South Carolina. Idalia weakened into a tropical storm on Wednesday evening after making landfall as a category 3 hurricane. Idalia is still strengthening and is now forecast to become a Category 4 storm at landfall, according to the National Hurricane Center's latest advisory. Currently, Idalia has recorded maximum sustained winds of 110 miles per hour, one mile per hour less than a category 3 storm.
