OLYMPIC VALLEY, Calif. - One person was killed, and several others were injured in an avalanche at the Palisades Tahoe ski resort on Wednesday morning, officials said. The Placer County Sheriff's Office identified the victim as 66-year-old Kenneth Kidd. He was a resident of both Point Reyes and the Truckee Tahoe area.
