We are now watching as Kouri Richins, a Utah woman who wrote a children's book about coping with grief after her husband's death, is convicted of aggravated murder in his death. The jury found her guilty of poisoning him with fentanyl. Richins was also found guilty of fraudulently claiming insurance benefits after the death of her husband in March 2022 at their home outside the ski town of Park City. After her husband's death, Richins self-published a children's book about grief to reportedly help her sons. 

LiveNOW’s Mike Pache is speaking with legal expert John Day as Tyler Robinson, the man accused of killing Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, is back in court Tuesday. Currently, his attorneys are arguing to have the Utah County Attorney’s Office dismissed from the case. Several members of the Utah County Attorney’s Office have taken the stand already. 

We are hearing reports tonight that two people have died after a shooting at a Salt Lake City meetinghouse of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. New information is coming in as police continue to respond to the incident tonight. Early reports indicate that several more people were wounded, some critically. A funeral was reportedly taking place inside the church when the incident occurred.

Congressman Randy Fine (R-FL) is asking Floridians to report those they see who are celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk, saying these people should face consequences. Kirk's death has sparked strong Republican condemnation of those who have downplayed the fatal shooting. LiveNOW’s Josh Breslow spoke with the congressman in the wake of the assassination in Utah.

Authorities have announced that a man who claimed to be the person who shot Charlie Kirk has been arrested and charged. George Zinn is charged with obstruction of justice and four counts of possessing child sex abuse material, according to a news release from the Utah County Sheriff?s Office. We have learned today that prosecutors plan to file a notice of intent to seek the death penalty against Tyler James Robinson, the man accused of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk. In addition, prosecutors have now formally charged Robinson with aggravated murder, among other charges and a judge will eventually determine whether Robinson could face the death penalty.
