We are getting more information after a shooting inside a Maryland high school today. Police have confirmed a student was shot and local police were dispatched to the school at 2:15 p.m. on Monday after reports of shots fired inside the school. According to police reports, one student was shot during the incident, and is in stable condition. Police have not released any details about the victim or the suspect. It may not come, as both are reportedly minors. Officials say they say there is no further threat to public safety. The suspect, also a student, was arrested a short time later near the school.

We are hearing preliminary information this Monday as Wootton High School in Maryland was placed on lockdown after reports that a person was shot inside the school. Officers were called around 2:15 p.m. to the school in Rockville for an initial report of shots fired, according to Montgomery County police. County police said all roads to the school would be closed as the investigation is ongoing. Robert Frost Middle School at 9201 Scott Drive is reportedly going to be used as a reunification site for parents and their children.
