Florida works to eliminate childhood vaccine mandates

Florida is now working to become the first U.S. state to eliminate vaccine mandates. Earlier today, the State Surgeon General called current requirements in schools and elsewhere “immoral” intrusions on people’s rights. According to the Associated Press, Florida’s move is a departure from research that has shown vaccines to be the most effective way to stop the spread of communicable diseases. DeSantis plans to end childhood vaccine mandates

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Wednesday that Florida is establishing a Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) Commission at the state level. It was also announced that the Florida Department of Health will work with DeSantis to end all vaccine mandates in the state. ICE agent allegedly attacked by burglary suspect

We are learning more from Sheriff Grady Judd of Florida about an incident that occurred this morning on Reynolds Road in Lakeland. According to Sheriff Judd, a federal agent was attacked by an illegal immigrant while that suspect was being taken into custody.
