Rihanna and A$AP Rocky have welcomed their third child together, a baby girl named Rocki Irish Mayers.

The singer, 37, announced the news Wednesday in an Instagram post that featured a photo of her holding the newborn and another image of baby shoes. The caption included Rocki’s name, her birth date — Sept. 13 — and a ribbon emoji.

A history of high-profile pregnancy reveals

The backstory:

The couple first shared they were expecting during the 2024 Met Gala in May.

Rihanna arrived in a pinstripe look and oversized hat, while Rocky, who served as a co-chair, told reporters, "It’s time that we show the people what we was cooking up. And I’m glad everybody’s happy for us ’cause we definitely happy, you know."

Rihanna has made headlines before with her pregnancy announcements. In 2023, she revealed her second pregnancy during the Super Bowl halftime show, where her baby bump was visible throughout her performance. That child, Riot Rose, was born later that year.

The couple’s first child, RZA, was born in May 2022.

What they're saying:

Rihanna and Rocky first confirmed their relationship publicly in 2020. Since then, the two have balanced their growing family with their respective careers.

Rihanna, a nine-time Grammy Award winner, has 14 No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and launched her beauty empire, Fenty Beauty, in 2017.

Rocky began his career with the hip-hop collective A$AP Mob in 2011. His debut studio album, "Live, Love, A$AP," entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1 in 2013. He has been nominated for two Grammys and recently appeared alongside Denzel Washington in Spike Lee’s "Highest 2 Lowest."

What's next:

Neither Rihanna nor Rocky have shared additional details about their daughter’s birth. Fans have already flooded social media with congratulations as the family adjusts to life with three young children.
