SoCal weather: Storm expected to bring heavy rain

We are learning more as a powerful storm system is expected to bring dangerous weather conditions to Southern California beginning Tuesday and lasting through the duration of the holiday week. Experts say widespread rain in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, Ventura, San Bernardino and San Diego counties is expected to begin Tuesday and will intensify going into Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Millions of Americans are expected to wake up to some flurries on Sunday, as the first 'measurable' snow of the season is poised to hit the northeastern section of the I-95 corridor late Saturday night into the early morning hours. Fox Weather's Bayne Froney is in Montana where the storm brought 14 inches of snow to the midwest and is now headed to the Northeast.

Another surge of bone-chilling Polar Vortex air is forecast to sweep into the central and northeastern U.S. this weekend, potentially bringing the first significant snowfall of the season to parts of the Interstate. Over in the Midwest two snow storms are making their way through. Katie Byrne is in Cincinnati, Ohio where a second snow storm is on its way.
