Two storms loom over next week's Thanksgiving holiday with the potential to cause delays during the busiest travel period of the year, when close to 82 million Americans are expected to take to the road, rail or sky. The first storm system is expected to develop next Monday, Nov. 24, and bring rain to the southern Plains as it tracks into the Southeast and potentially the mid-Atlantic or Northeast through Tuesday. A strong storm system has hit Southern California this weekend. During the peak of the storm, a small sinkhole opened in South Pasadena and various roads across Los Angeles County experienced flash flooding. We are also learning that a California family got swept into the water, resulting in a 5-year-old girl going missing, her dad dying, and her mom in the hospital. At least five people were killed Saturday and two children have been reported missing after flash flooding in eastern Pennsylvania. Officials said upwards of 7 inches of rain fell in about 45 minutes near Washington Crossing and the surrounding area of Bucks County, which resulted in rapid flooding and extensive damage. FOX 29 Philadelphia reported that the deluge overtook vehicles near a creek in the area around 5:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday. Bucks County Coroner Meredith Buck told reporters Monday that three victims were found Saturday and two on Sunday.
