NOAA's updated climate outlook sets the country up for what could be one of the warmest summers in history.

Airports in some of the largest U.S. cities are reporting flight delays as storms move through, prompting ground stops and other issues.

An evacuation alert was issued for Fort McMurray in Alberta as crews responded to what they described as an "out-of-control wildfire."

A potent solar storm prompted the first severe geomagnetic storm watch in nearly two decades in the U.S., dazzling observers with vivid Northern Lights as far south as Florida, while raising concerns about potential disruptions to communication and GPS systems.

In North Carolina, one home was nearly destroyed by an ensuing fire, while two others suffered minor damage.

Tornadoes can happen randomly at any time but certain areas in the U.S. experienced a surge in activity during April.

“Asher needs a miracle," the child's father, Jimmy Sullivan, said. "Specifically, pray for healing for his lungs and most importantly brain activity to occur."

Harrowing stories of survival are coming out of Nebraska after multiple EF-3 tornadoes ripped apart homes and separated pets from their families.
