According to some sources familiar with the matter, the GOP is working to target the Labor Day holiday in an attempt to capitalize on early-voting. Suspect dead after Houston officer-involved shooting

We are now learning that a suspect is dead after a shootout with Houston police on Wednesday. According to local police, they received a call just before 4 p.m. related to a suspicious man in the southern part of the city. The caller said the man had a purse and a handgun. According to our partners at FOX 26 Houston, authorities say there were several rounds of gunfire exchanged as a responding officer took cover behind a patrol vehicle. It is now being reported that the officer rendered first aid to the suspect after the altercation, but the suspect died on the scene.
