3.8 magnitude earthquake hits northern California
On Thursday morning, a magnitude 3.8 earthquake struck the San Francisco Bay Area, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake’s epicenter was about 3.2 miles beneath the surface, roughly 2.5 miles south of San Leandro, California. The earthquake struck near the Hayward Fault, one of the most active fault lines in the region. This comes as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth recently said that conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier have been “misrepresented” after some reports indicating soldiers in distress. LiveNOW is also speaking with Col Michael J. Jernigan (Retired) as sailors reportedly struggling with low morale as their deployment continues.
