Writing for the majority, Judge Robert Wilkins, who was nominated to the court by President Barack Obama, claimed the policy "appears to be driven by the bare desire to harm a politically unpopular group: persons who identify as transgender."

According to our partners at FOX 26 Houston, the man, 23, and the woman, 20, both died at the scene. The incident began shortly before 2 p.m. when a man called 911 to report that he had accidentally shot his girlfriend, the sheriff’s office says.
