Diddy do it? Week 3 Diddy trial recap
video

President Donald Trump said he might consider pardoning Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is currently on trial for serious charges like sex trafficking and racketeering. Trump made the comments at a news conference, saying he’d look into it fairly and that whether someone liked him or not wouldn’t affect his decision. In court, a former assistant to Combs, using the name "Mia" to protect her identity, gave disturbing testimony. She described Combs as abusive and controlling, saying he raped her and used those incidents to blackmail her. Mia also said she saw him violently assault singer Cassie Ventura and recalled Combs getting aggressive after learning Cassie was dating Kid Cudi. The defense tried to challenge her credibility by pointing to social media posts where she praised Combs during the time of the alleged abuse. Mia also testified that after Cassie filed a lawsuit against Combs in 2023, one of Combs’s former bodyguards offered her money and pressured her to defend him publicly. We also learned this week that Cassie gave birth to her third child on Wednesday, two weeks after testifying against Diddy. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies the accusations. He’s being held without bail and faces the possibility of life in prison if convicted. Trump has previously pardoned other celebrities, but never anyone facing charges as serious as these. The idea of a possible pardon for Combs is already drawing a lot of public debate.
