2 Mississippi officers killed after 30-minute talk with woman during welfare check

Two police officers in coastal Mississippi were shot and killed early Wednesday by a woman who they had talked to for nearly 30 minutes in a motel parking lot, authorities said. The woman also died.

Detectives collected hours of surveillance video from a gas station in Moscow, Idaho after a clerk alerted police about a white sedan passing by at 3:45 a.m. on the night of the unsolved stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students. These images and video were obtained exclusively by FOX News Digital. Last week, police said they were looking to speak with the occupants of a white Hyundai Elantra who may have information on the slayings of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Ethan Chapin, and Xana Kernodle. Police have said they believe anyone in the Elantra may have "critical information to share" in the case. The Gonclaves family attorney, Shanon Gray, also spoke with LiveNOW's Andy Mac about the investigation and the Goncalves' feelings a month after their daughter was killed.

Sam Bankman-Fried, disgraced founder of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX was arrested in the Bahamas Monday, authorities said. Bahamian authorities said Bankman-Fried?s arrest came after the United States filed charges against him and was likely to request extradition. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York confirmed Bankman-Fried's arrest based on a sealed indictment from the court. FTX filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 11 when the firm ran out of money after the cryptocurrency equivalent of a bank run. Customers tried to withdraw their assets all at once because of growing doubts about the financial strength of the company and its affiliated trading arm, Alameda Research.
