Cody Balmer pleaded guilty to attempted murder, arson, and terrorism charges in. Balmer was sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison under a plea agreement, according to the Associated Press.

Luigi Mangione?s lawyers asked a New York federal judge Saturday to dismiss some of the criminal charges brought against him ? including the charge that could carry the death penalty. Mangione is accused of shooting and killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson outside a Manhattan hotel last December. It prompted a multi-day manhunt for the suspected shooter, which ultimately led to law enforcement taking Mangione into custody after receiving a tip from a McDonald?s in Pennsylvania. Mangione has since pled not guilty to the charges brought against him. Richard Schoenstein is an attorney and legal analyst -- he joins LiveNOW's Austin Westfall to discuss the filing.
