A Chinese national has been arrested for attempting to gain access to President-elect Donald Trump at his home in Mar-a-Lago for the fifth time.

An investigation is underway after five people were stabbed in Seattle?s Chinatown-International District Friday afternoon. Authorities are calling it a mass casualty event. It was reported that four men showed up to Harborview Medical Center with stab wounds. All of them are listed in critical condition. The fifth person who was stabbed was treated at the hospital and released. According to the SPD, officers found a suspect after witnesses described him and arrested him without incident. A weapon was recovered in the area, and one knife was still stuck in one of the victims. Police said the five stabbings occurred over a 38-hour period.

In a court filing Friday, special counsel Jack Smith?s team requested the cancellation of upcoming deadlines in the 2020 election case, citing the need "to assess this unprecedented circumstance" and align with Department of Justice policy. U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan quickly granted the request, delaying the timeline for the case. Prosecutors have been ordered to submit a proposed course of action by December 2. This move gives both sides additional time to prepare for the complex legal proceedings.

The Justice Department unsealed criminal charges Friday in a thwarted Iranian plot to kill President-elect Donald Trump before this week?s presidential election. A criminal complaint filed in federal court in Manhattan alleges that an unnamed official in Iran?s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard instructed a contact this past September to put together a plan to surveil and ultimately kill Trump.
