Frozen chicken breasts sold in multiple states recalled for possible listeria contamination

A recall was issued for 13,720 pounds of ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast fillet products over potential listeria contamination. 

The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced in a Jan. 16 recall letter that the items were produced on October 14, 2025, after a laboratory sample tested positive for listeria.

To date, the agency says there have been no confirmed reports of illnesses from consuming the chicken breast products.

Suzanna’s Kitchen recalled 10-lb. cases containing two 5 lb. bags of fully cooked grilled chicken breast fillets with rib meat, with lot code 60104 P1382 287 5 J14 on the side of the case and on the package.

Where were the recalled items sold?

The chicken breast fillets were shipped to distribution centers for food service sales in the following states:  

  1. Alabama
  2. Florida
  3. Georgia
  4. Missouri
  5. New Hampshire
  6. North Carolina
  7. Ohio

USDA officials noted that anyone concerned about an illness related to the product should call a healthcare provider. No information was provided regarding a refund option for consumers with the items.
