Hurricane Lowell makes direct hit on Hawaii

Powerful Category 2 Hurricane Lowell is making a direct hit on Hawaii’s western islands. Winds are intensifying across Kaua‘i, where hurricane-force gusts have been recorded. A tornado watch is also in effect for the island, FOX Weather says it’s the first ever issued for Hawaii.
