National Guard member injured in shooting

A National Guard member was shot in the leg late Monday night in Southeast D.C. after Guard members intervened in a fight.  They exchanged gunfire with a suspect they say pointed a gun at them. The suspect was shot in the abdomen and arrested. Both were taken to a hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
