Jalen Hurts out for Eagles season due to blood clots
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is expected to miss the remainder of the NFL season after medical evaluations revealed multiple blood clots in his lungs. The team and Hurts' agent announced Monday that the three-time Pro Bowler has deep vein thrombosis and a bilateral pulmonary emboli, meaning a clot from his leg traveled to his lungs. Hurts will undergo blood thinner treatment for at least three months, forcing the 2-4 Eagles to move forward with backup quarterback Tanner McKee.
