TN launches investigation into failed execution
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee speaks with reporters after the failed execution attempt of Christa Pike, who was sentenced to death for a 1995 murder. Pike received two doses of the lethal drug before the execution was halted. It was Tennessee’s first attempt to execute a woman in more than 200 years. Lee has since paused the state’s remaining scheduled execution for the rest of the year.
