Southern California faces high surf, flooding threat

This comes as Long Beach prepares for potentially dangerous surf and coastal flooding as swells generated by hurricane activity reach the Southern California coast. The National Weather Service warned of coastal flooding, significant beach erosion and dangerous rip currents as southerly swells generated by hurricanes Polo and Odalys reach Southern California.
