15+ hikers may be missing after Grand Canyon flooding
A significant flash flood struck Grand Canyon National Park on Saturday, leaving at least 15 individuals unaccounted for in the Bright Angel Canyon and Phantom Ranch areas as search and rescue operations continue. Emergency crews successfully evacuated at least 62 uninjured people to the South Rim's Maswik Lodge. Major park corridors, including Phantom Ranch and the North Kaibab Trail, remain closed until further notice.
